Leagues

Admin Manager

Use this page to set up a weekly golf league, add its teams, and record each week's results.

Quick steps

To set up a league:

  1. Click Leagues in the top navigation, then New League.
  2. Enter the Name, pick the Tee Sheet, Day of Week and Tee Off Time, and set Slots / Week.
  3. Set Season Start and Season End, the Scoring Format and Holes per Week, then save. A week is created for every league night.
  4. On the league page, click + Add Team for each team and enter the captain's details.

Each league night:

  1. On the league page, click the week under Weeks.
  2. Enter each team's W, L, T, Pts and Score.
  3. Tick Mark week as completed when it's final, then click Save Results. The Standings update.

Common questions

Are league tee times kept free for us? Yes. When the league has a Tee Sheet, the league-night tee times are held and show grey on the tee sheet. Bookings already on them aren't moved — you're told whose they are so you can call them.

We extended the season. How do I add the new weeks? Change Season End, then click Regenerate Weeks. Existing weeks stay as they are.

The season is over. Untick Active. Its upcoming held tee times open up for booking again. Reactivate brings it back.

More detail: league settings and held tee times

Leagues are for regular weekly play, like a Tuesday night men's league. Brother POS lays out every week of the season, holds tee times for league night, and keeps the standings from the results you enter. Click Leagues in the top navigation.

The list shows each active league with its Day, Tee Off time and Season.

Creating a League

Click New League and fill in:

FieldWhat it means
NameFor example "Tuesday Men's League".
Tee SheetThe course the league plays. Pick (none) if you don't want tee times held.
Day of WeekLeague night.
Tee Off TimeWhen the first group goes off.
Slots / WeekHow many tee times to hold each week, up to 20.
Season Start / Season EndThe first and last dates of the season.
Scoring FormatStroke, Match, Stableford or Scramble. Shown on the league page for everyone's reference.
Holes per Week9, 12 or 18.
ActiveUntick when the league is finished. Its upcoming held tee times are opened for booking again. Inactive leagues stay on the Leagues list marked Inactive, with a Reactivate button that brings the league back and holds its tee times again.

When you save, Brother POS creates a week for every league night between the start and end of the season.

Holding tee times

When the league has a Tee Sheet, each league night the number of Slots / Week tee times from the Tee Off Time onwards are blocked. They show grey on the tee sheet as "League: name" and can't be booked at the register or online.

Tee times only exist about 60 days ahead, so later weeks are held automatically overnight as their tee times are created.

Existing bookings aren't moved

Holding tee times doesn't cancel bookings already on them. When you save, regenerate or reactivate a league and upcoming bookings are on its held tee times, you're told how many and whose, so you can contact them.

Regenerate Weeks adds any league nights that are missing, for example after you extend the season. Weeks that are already there aren't removed.
