Quick steps

To see what needs attention today:

  2. Check the four cards at the top: Active Loans, Principal Outstanding, Due Today and Ready for Shelf.
  3. Work down the lists below: Due Today, Past Due (in grace), Ready for Shelf (forfeit-eligible) and On Police Hold. Click a row to open the loan.

To find a loan:

  1. Click Pawn Loans in the main menu.
  2. Type a loan number, customer name, item description or part of a serial number in the search box.
  3. Pick a Status if you want (for example Active), then click Filter. Click the row to open the loan.

Common questions

Which loans can I put on the shelf? The ones under Ready for Shelf (forfeit-eligible) on the Pawn Desk. They are past their grace days and not on police hold.

The police asked about an item. How do I find it? Type part of its serial number in the search box on Pawn Loans. The list shows which loan the item is on.

The Pawn Desk is empty. That's good news. When nothing is due, past due, ready for the shelf or on hold, it says so.

The Pawn Desk

Open Pawn Loans from the main menu and click Pawn Desk. Its subtitle is "What's due, past due, and ready for the shelf".

Due TodayActive loans whose maturity date is today.

The lists

Below the cards, each list appears only when it has something in it:

ListWhich loans
Due TodayMaturity date is today.
Past Due (in grace)Past the maturity date but not yet past the forfeit-eligible date. The borrower can still redeem or renew.
Ready for Shelf (forfeit-eligible)Past the forfeit-eligible date and not on police hold. You can forfeit these to inventory.
On Police HoldA police hold is in place and its date hasn't passed.

Each row shows the loan number, the customer, today's payoff and the maturity date. Click a row to open the loan.

When nothing needs attention, the page says "Nothing is due, past due, ready for the shelf or on hold."

The header also has All Loans, Settings and Write Loan buttons.

Search and filter

  • Search matches the loan number, the customer's name, an item's description or an item's serial number. Type part of a serial number to find which loan an item is on.
  • Status narrows the list to All, Active, Overdue (active and past the maturity date), Redeemed or Forfeited.
  • Written from / To narrow the list to loans written between those dates. The police export uses the same filters.

Click Filter to apply, or Clear to reset. A search keeps the status you chose, so "Active" plus a customer's name shows only that customer's open loans.

The ⋮ menu

The three-dot button next to Write Loan holds:

  • Export (Police) — downloads the acquisitions report. See Police export.
  • Settings — opens Pawn Settings.
