Online Orders
If your store has a WooCommerce online store connected, online orders are automatically synced to Brother POS. The Online Orders section gives you a unified view of all incoming web orders alongside your in-store sales, so you can manage fulfillment from one place.

Prerequisites
Before online orders appear in Brother POS, you must have:
- A WooCommerce store connected and synced. See WooCommerce Setup.
- Order sync enabled in your WooCommerce integration settings.
- Products synced between Brother POS and WooCommerce so that line items match correctly.
If your store does not have a WooCommerce integration, the Online Orders section will not appear in your admin panel. This page only applies to stores with an active WooCommerce connection.
Accessing WooCommerce Orders
WooCommerce orders appear in the same unified order list alongside regular sales. They are identified by a WooCommerce badge in the Type column.
- Log in to the Admin Panel.
- Click Orders in the top navigation bar.
- WooCommerce orders are displayed alongside regular sales in the same table, using the same columns (Order #, Type, Fulfillment, Date/Time, Customer, Items, Total, Payment, Status, Actions).
Fulfillment Statuses
WooCommerce orders display the following fulfillment statuses:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Order received, awaiting fulfillment. |
| Completed | Order has been fulfilled. |
| Voided | Order was cancelled. |
Viewing WooCommerce Order Details
WooCommerce order details can be viewed by clicking View on any WooCommerce order. The detail page shows order information, line items, and customer details but is read-only -- there are no status update or processing controls in the Brother POS admin panel. Order status management should be done through the WooCommerce admin.
Order Details View
The WooCommerce order detail page shows:
Customer Information
- Name, email, and phone number
- Billing and shipping address information
- Customer account link (if the customer exists in Brother POS)
Line Items
A table showing every product in the order with quantities, unit prices, and line totals.
Payment Information
Shows the payment method and payment status from WooCommerce. Payment processing happens on the WooCommerce side -- Brother POS records the payment information but does not process online payments directly.
Syncing Behavior
Automatic Sync
WooCommerce orders sync to Brother POS automatically. The sync job runs periodically in the background. New orders typically appear within a few minutes of being placed.
What Syncs
| Data | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| New orders | WooCommerce to Brother POS | Automatic |
| Customer notes | WooCommerce to Brother POS | Customer notes from WooCommerce are included |
Order status management is handled through the WooCommerce admin. The Brother POS admin panel displays WooCommerce orders as read-only -- there are no status update or fulfillment controls in Brother POS for WooCommerce orders.
Manual Sync
If an order is not appearing or seems out of date:
- Go to Admin > Integrations > WooCommerce.
- Click Sync Orders Now to trigger an immediate sync.
- Check the sync log for any errors.
If orders are consistently failing to sync, visit the WooCommerce Health Monitor to diagnose connection issues.
Inventory Impact
Online orders affect your Brother POS inventory when they sync. Inventory is deducted as part of the order sync process.
Common Workflows
Investigating a missing online order
- Check the WooCommerce admin to confirm the order exists there.
- In Brother POS, go to Admin > Integrations > WooCommerce and check the sync log.
- If the order is missing from the log, click Sync Orders Now.
- If the sync fails, check the WooCommerce Health Monitor for connection issues.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Online orders not appearing | Verify WooCommerce integration is connected and order sync is enabled. Try a manual sync. |
| Order shows wrong product | Product mapping may be incorrect. Check that the WooCommerce product is properly linked to the Brother POS product. |
| Status not updating on WooCommerce | Check the WooCommerce Health Monitor for API errors. The WooCommerce REST API must be accessible. |
| Inventory not deducting for online orders | Verify that the products in the online order are matched to Brother POS catalog products with inventory tracking enabled. |
| Customer not found in Brother POS | Online customers are created automatically during sync. If missing, the sync may have encountered an error -- check the sync log. |
