Quick Add
Use this page to create a new product right from the register, without leaving the sales screen.
Quick steps
- Tap the gear icon in the register's top bar. Under Quick Actions, tap Quick Add Product.
- Pick the Product Type at the top: Weight, Unit, Variable or Variation (you only see the types your store uses).
- Type the Product Name, then fill in the price details — a Quality Tier for Weight, a Price for Unit, or variation rows for Variable.
- Add starting Stock and tick Categories if you want.
- Tap Create Product. The product appears in the product grid straight away, ready to add to the cart.
Tick Batch mode (stay open) at the bottom. The form clears after each product but the window stays open.
Common questions
I can't see Quick Add Product in the gear menu. You need the Quick Add Products permission. Managers have it by default; clerks don't unless an admin turns it on for their role.
It says Quick Add is not available while offline. Quick Add needs an internet connection. Wait until the register is back online, then try again.
A Print Labels? screen opened after I created the product. That happens for Weight products when the register has a label printer set up. Choose how many labels you want for each weight and tap Print Labels, or tap Skip.

Opening Quick Add
- Tap the settings (gear) button in the register's top bar.
- Under Quick Actions, tap Quick Add Product.
- The Quick Add Product window opens.
The Quick Add Product button only appears for staff with the Quick Add Products permission. Managers have it by default and clerks don't, but an admin can change this per role.
Quick Add needs an internet connection. While the register is offline, the window shows Quick Add is not available while offline. and you can't create the product.

Product Types
Choose the type at the top of the window. You'll only see the types your store uses, and the window starts on your store's default type.
Weight
For products sold by weight using a quality tier's price list.

When you pick a search result, badges show what was picked: Catalog or Strain, plus brand, strain type, THC and dominant terpene where known.
Unit
For products with a fixed price per item.

Variable
For a product that comes in several versions, such as sizes or flavours.

Each variation row has a Name, Price and Stock. Every variation with a name needs a price above $0. Tap Add Variation to add rows, and tap the trash button to remove one.
Variation
Adds a new variation to a variable product you already have.

Search results show each product's name, how many variations it has, and their names.
If your store tracks stock in several locations, the stock box for Weight and Unit products becomes one box per location, with a total underneath. Stock for variations is placed on the sales floor.

Category Selection
For Weight, Unit and Variable products, tick categories from the list. Ticking a subcategory also ticks its parent category.

Label Printing
After you create a Weight product, and if this register has a label printer set up, the Print Labels? screen opens:
- Each weight from the tier's price list is shown with + and - buttons.
- Choose how many labels to print for each weight, for example 5 labels for 3.5g and 3 for 7g.
- Choose a Label Template if your store has more than one.
- Tap Print Labels to print, or Skip to finish without printing.

Batch Mode
Tick Batch mode (stay open) at the bottom of the window. With it on:
- After a product is created (and after the label screen, if shown), the form clears but the window stays open.
- Your product type, quality tier and batch mode setting are kept.
- You can enter several similar products in a row without reopening the window.
