Deals Sync
Beyond your menu, Brother POS can publish your sale campaigns to RezWeed as deals on your listing. Each deal carries its own discount, schedule, and target products so shoppers browsing RezWeed see the same specials you're running in-store -- and the affected products show a strikethrough sale price.
Deals only sync when RezWeed publishing is on. See RezWeed Overview to connect first.
Turning a campaign into a RezWeed deal
Publishing a deal is opt-in per campaign:
- Go to Marketing > Sale Campaigns and create or edit a campaign.
- Make sure the campaign is visible on your storefront.
- In the campaign's RezWeed section, check Show on RezWeed.
- Save.
Brother POS pushes the deal to your listing right away and keeps it updated whenever you change it. Un-check Show on RezWeed (or hide the campaign from your storefront) and it's removed from RezWeed.
A deal shows on RezWeed only when it is both storefront-visible and has Show on RezWeed turned on. Turning off either one removes it from your listing.
What a deal sends
| Field | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Deal text | Your campaign's display message. If you leave it blank, Brother POS builds one automatically (for example "20% off Edibles"). |
| Description | The campaign's description, if you added one. |
| Schedule | The campaign's start/end dates and any active days of the week. |
| Active | Whether the deal is currently within its date window and enabled. |
| Target | Whether it's storewide, or the specific RezWeed categories it applies to. |
If you set a custom display message, that's exactly what shoppers see on RezWeed. Leave it blank and Brother POS writes a clear default from the discount and its targets. Because the auto text is built from the discount and targeting, re-pointing a deal (say, from Flower to Edibles) refreshes the text so it never goes stale.
Storewide vs. targeted deals
How a deal is targeted in Brother POS determines how it appears on RezWeed:
- Storewide -- campaigns that apply to all products (or have no specific target) are published as a storewide deal.
- Targeted -- campaigns limited to specific categories, products, or brands are published against the matching RezWeed categories, resolved through your category mapping.
Because deals resolve through your category mapping, a targeted deal aimed at an unmapped category won't appear -- map the category first. This is the same cannabis-only standardization used for the menu, so deals for non-cannabis items are kept off RezWeed.
Product-level and category-level control
The same visibility controls that govern your menu also govern which items a deal can mark down:
- Per product -- a product with Show on RezWeed off won't show a sale price even if a matching campaign is running.
- Per category -- a category hidden from RezWeed keeps its products (and their deals) off the listing.
See Menu Sync and Category Mapping for these controls.
Strikethrough pricing is calculated live
Rather than sending a single pre-computed sale price, Brother POS sends RezWeed the deal rules -- the discount amount and its schedule. RezWeed then applies the deal to each product's regular price at view time. This has two big advantages:
- Day-of-week specials stay live. A "Tuesdays only" deal shows a sale price every Tuesday with no nightly refresh -- RezWeed evaluates the schedule itself.
- Overlapping deals resolve correctly. If more than one deal could apply to a product, RezWeed shows the best active one for the current day.
Because the schedule travels with the deal, Brother POS only re-publishes when the deal itself changes -- not every day it rolls over. Your specials switch on and off on the right days on their own.
Automatic updates
Once a campaign is set to show on RezWeed, Brother POS re-publishes it automatically whenever you change anything that affects it -- its name, deal text, discount, schedule, active days, or which products/categories/brands it targets. If the change affects pricing, the menu's strikethrough prices refresh too. You never need to re-push a deal by hand.
Ending a campaign (or letting it pass its end date) removes the deal from your listing automatically.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| A deal isn't on RezWeed | Confirm the campaign is storefront-visible and has Show on RezWeed on. |
| A targeted deal doesn't appear | Make sure the categories it targets are mapped to standard RezWeed categories. |
| Sale price not showing on a product | Check that the product's Show on RezWeed is on and its category isn't hidden. |
| Deal text looks wrong or outdated | Set a custom display message, or re-save the campaign to regenerate the default text. |
| A weekday special isn't showing today | Confirm today is one of the campaign's active days and it's within its start/end dates. |
Best Practices
- Write a clear display message so shoppers immediately understand the offer.
- Target by category where possible -- it maps cleanly onto RezWeed's standard categories.
- Use scheduled and day-of-week deals freely -- they stay accurate on your listing without any manual upkeep.
