RezWeed Overview

Admin

RezWeed is a free public directory for Indigenous and independent cannabis stores. Once you connect it, Brother POS keeps your RezWeed listing up to date automatically -- your live menu, prices, product photos, strain details, and sale campaigns are mirrored to RezWeed whenever they change in your POS. There is nothing to re-upload and no separate menu to maintain.

This is a one-way publish: Brother POS is the source of truth and pushes to RezWeed. Changing something on RezWeed never changes your POS.

Who can use it

RezWeed is offered to cannabis stores only. The settings appear only when your store has cannabis features enabled. If you do not see a RezWeed section under Settings, cannabis features are turned off for your store.

No RezWeed account needed to start

You do not enter any RezWeed passwords or API keys in Brother POS. RezWeed matches your store automatically by its unique store ID (see Finding your listing below).

How connecting works

There are two switches, one inside the other. Both live under Settings, in the RezWeed section.

SettingWhat it does
Enable RezWeed directory integrationThe master switch. When off, nothing is published and every other RezWeed setting stays hidden.
Publish my menu & sales to RezWeedThe publish toggle. When on, your storefront-visible products and campaigns are mirrored to your listing. Turning it off clears them from RezWeed.

Think of it as: Enable turns the feature on for your store, and Publish actually sends your menu out to the public directory.

Turning it on

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Find the RezWeed section.
  3. Check Enable RezWeed directory integration.
  4. Check Publish my menu & sales to RezWeed.
  5. Map your categories to RezWeed's standard categories -- see Category Mapping.
  6. Click Update Settings.

Once publishing is on, Brother POS sends your full current menu and all eligible sale campaigns to RezWeed in the background. From then on, any change to a product, category, or campaign updates your listing automatically.

Turning it off

Un-check Publish my menu & sales to RezWeed (or the master Enable switch) and save. Brother POS sends RezWeed an empty menu, which clears your listing. Your settings and category mappings are kept, so you can switch publishing back on later without redoing anything.

What gets published

When publishing is on, Brother POS sends:

  • Products that are active and visible on your storefront -- with prices, weight/quantity price tiers, THC/CBD, strain type, effects, descriptions, and photos. See Menu Sync.
  • Sale campaigns you have marked to show on RezWeed -- with their discount, schedule, and target products/categories. See Deals Sync.

Products and categories are only published once you have mapped them to RezWeed's standard category set. Anything unmapped stays hidden until you map it -- this keeps the public directory consistent so shoppers can filter the same way across every store.

Everything stays in sync automatically

You never have to press a "sync now" button. Brother POS re-publishes the relevant part of your listing whenever you:

  • Add, edit, restock, or deactivate a product.
  • Change a category's RezWeed mapping or visibility.
  • Create, edit, or end a sale campaign.
  • Change any RezWeed setting.
Day-of-week deals just work

Recurring specials (for example "20% off edibles on Tuesdays") stay live on your listing without a nightly refresh. RezWeed knows the deal's schedule and applies it on the right days automatically.

Finding your listing

RezWeed matches your store by its unique store ID, shown in the RezWeed settings section under Listing link. If your menu is not appearing on your listing, share that ID with RezWeed support so they can connect your listing to your POS.

Controlling what public listings show

Separate from RezWeed's own on/off switch, the Public menu data section under Settings lets you hide certain cannabis details from all public listings (RezWeed, your storefront, and WooCommerce) while still showing them on your in-store POS:

SettingEffect
Hide strain library imagesOnly your own uploaded product photos appear -- generic strain-library and AI-generated images are not shown.
Hide THC % from public listingsTHC values (and THC-based filters) are not published.
Hide auto-generated descriptions on RezWeedOnly your hand-written product descriptions are published, not ones sourced from the strain library or AI.

These apply everywhere your data is synced, so use them if the baseline data may not match exactly what is on your shelves.

Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
No RezWeed section under SettingsCannabis features are turned off for your store. RezWeed is cannabis-only.
Publish toggle is hiddenTurn on the master Enable RezWeed directory integration switch first.
Menu not showing on the listingConfirm both switches are on, then share your store ID (under Listing link) with RezWeed support.
Some products missingThey are likely unmapped categories, hidden, out of stock, or turned off for RezWeed. See Menu Sync and Category Mapping.

Best Practices

  • Map your categories first. Products under unmapped categories stay hidden, so do the mapping before you expect a full menu. See Category Mapping.
  • Use "Hide out-of-stock" if you sell fast. It keeps your listing honest by dropping sold-out items and re-adding them the moment you restock. See Menu Sync.
  • Let it run. You don't need to refresh manually -- edits flow through on their own.

What's Next?

  • Category Mapping -- Standardize your categories onto RezWeed's set so your products publish.
  • Menu Sync -- See exactly how products, prices, photos, and strain details reach your listing.
  • Deals Sync -- Publish your sale campaigns as deals on your listing.
