Menu Sync

Admin

Once RezWeed publishing is on, your live menu is mirrored to your listing automatically. This page explains exactly what gets sent for each product, how the different price types appear, where photos come from, and how to control which products show.

For turning the integration on and mapping categories first, see RezWeed Overview and Category Mapping.

Which products publish

A product appears on your RezWeed menu only when all of these are true:

  • It is active and visible on your storefront.
  • Its Show on RezWeed toggle is on (on by default).
  • Its category is mapped to a standard RezWeed category (see Category Mapping).
  • Its category is not hidden from RezWeed.
  • It passes the out-of-stock rule if you've turned that on (see below).

If any of these stop being true -- you deactivate it, hide the category, or it sells out with the out-of-stock rule on -- Brother POS automatically removes it from your listing. Restore any of them and it comes back.

What each product sends

NameThe product's display name.
BrandThe brand/supplier name -- only if brand display is on (see Brand display).

EffectsThe top positive effects for the strain -- see Strain details and effects.
DescriptionThe product's own description, falling back to the matched strain's.
PhotoThe product's uploaded photo, falling back to a strain-library image -- see Photos.
Sale / dealAny active markdown, so RezWeed can show a strikethrough price -- see Deals Sync.

How prices appear

Brother POS translates each of its pricing styles into a format RezWeed can display cleanly:

Your pricing styleHow it appears on RezWeed
Simple flat priceA single price, no unit.
Per-gram weightA price shown per gram (with a /g unit).
Weight tiers (1g, 3.5g, 7g, 14g, 28g...)A price ladder -- one row per weight, labelled like 1g, 3.5g, 28g, cheapest first.
Quantity breaks ("buy 3+, buy 5+")A base 1 price plus a row for each break, labelled 3+, 5+, and so on.
Variations (e.g. pack sizes, flavours)One row per priced variation, labelled by its option (for example 2 Pack), cheapest first.

The regular price is always what's sent. If a product has an active deal, RezWeed applies the markdown on top of that price and shows the sale. See Deals Sync for how markdowns are calculated live.

Photos

Most menus look best with an image on every item, so Brother POS uses a two-step fallback:

  1. Your own uploaded product photo, if the product has one.
  2. A strain-library image for the product's matched strain, if it has no photo of its own.

The strain library includes thousands of pre-generated bud images, so flower products usually show a real-looking render instead of a blank placeholder even if you never uploaded a photo.

Photos are sent as full web links

RezWeed displays your menu on its own website, so Brother POS sends photos as complete, publicly reachable links -- your images just work with no extra setup.

If you'd rather only ever show your own photos, turn on Hide strain library images in the Public menu data settings (see RezWeed Overview).

Strain details and effects

When a product is matched to a strain in the library, its RezWeed listing is enriched with that strain's information -- even if you never copied those details onto the product itself. This covers strain type, THC level, description, and effects.

Effects show the strain's top desirable effects (relaxed, creative, energetic, and so on), strongest first. Negative effects (like dry mouth) are never published.

You can suppress some of this enrichment from all public listings using the Public menu data settings:

  • Hide THC % -- don't publish THC values.
  • Hide auto-generated descriptions -- only your hand-written descriptions publish.
  • Hide strain library images -- only your own photos publish.

Hiding out-of-stock products

By default, a sold-out product stays on your listing and RezWeed marks it "sold out." If you'd rather it disappear until you restock, turn on Hide out-of-stock products from my RezWeed menu in the RezWeed settings section.

With that on:

  • A product with no physical stock is removed from your listing.
  • The moment you restock it, it re-appears automatically.
"Out of stock" means physically empty

This rule checks actual on-hand quantity, so a product with zero on the shelf is hidden even if you don't normally track its inventory. A product allowed to sell negative is treated as always available.

Showing or hiding the brand

Some stores use the brand field for an internal supplier name they don't want shown publicly. You have two levels of control:

  • Per product -- on the product's edit form, Show brand on RezWeed (in the RezWeed section) toggles the brand for that item.
  • Per category -- on a category's edit form, Show brand on RezWeed toggles it for everything in that category (see Category Mapping).

If either level hides the brand, it stays hidden.

Per-product control

On any product's edit page (when RezWeed publishing is on) you'll find a RezWeed section with:

ControlEffect
Show on RezWeedPublish this specific product to your listing. Un-check to keep it off RezWeed while still selling it in-store and on your storefront.
Show brand on RezWeedPublish (or hide) the brand/supplier name for this product.

Changing either one updates your listing automatically.

Troubleshooting

ProblemSolution
A product isn't on RezWeedConfirm it's active, storefront-visible, has Show on RezWeed on, and its category is mapped and not hidden.
A product vanished after selling outThat's the Hide out-of-stock rule working. It returns automatically when you restock.
No photo on a productUpload a product photo, or make sure it's matched to a strain (and that Hide strain library images is off).
THC / description missingCheck the Public menu data settings -- you may have hidden THC or auto-generated descriptions.
Wrong price format on the listingReview the product's pricing style in Brother POS -- see How prices appear.

Best Practices

  • Match products to strains to get free photos, effects, and descriptions with no extra data entry.
  • Turn on Hide out-of-stock if your inventory moves quickly, so shoppers never see sold-out items.
  • Use Show on RezWeed per product for items you sell in-store but don't want in the public directory.
